Frequently Asked Questions
Does anxiety counselling really work?
Counselling provides a safe, non-judgemental space in which you can explore your issues confidentially. It's often difficult to speak openly with the people close us, as they may already be involved and be eager to give advice and opinion on what they think you should do. Speaking about anxiety in the right setting can often give us greater insights into what is going on for us, and the thought patterns that may be reinforcing the anxious behaviours.
My four-week anxiety program includes practical strategies and techniques which enhance the counselling process.
Of course, everybody reacts to therapy differently, but I can say that the majority of my clients experience profound transformations over a short period of time.
How can hypnotherapy help with anxiety?
Hypnotherapy gives us the opportunity to go deep within our minds and change our thought processes at a fundamental level. It is a deeply relaxing process which in itself is very healing to anxiety.
How many sessions does it take?
It's impossible to guess how many sessions each individual will need, as it depends on the severity of their issues. However, I offer 4-week programs which combine a mixture of holistic therapies, and I have an excellent success rate over this timescale. The success of the therapy is greatly enhanced if the client really 'shows up' and engages with the process - not just during the sessions, but in reflection and processing their thoughts in between sessions.
What are the advantages of booking a program?
My 4-week programs are specially designed to help you overcome your issues rapidly and effectively. By booking the course you will get the full benefit of all the holistic therapies and strategies that I have trained in over the years. I also include extra resources free of charge. Courses offer a significant discount when compared with booking individual sessions. You also have first choice of booking your sessions at the outset, which helps you get the most convenient time and day for you.
Is hypnosis the same as how it's portrayed on TV?
No - at least my style of hypnotherapy isn't. I promise I'm not going to make you cluck like a chicken or eat an onion! Hypnotherapy is deeply relaxing and my clients report that they find it highly therapeutic. You will remain completely in control throughout the process and my main concern is keeping you safe and happy.
